We can supply a fully racked 100 Volt REDBACK 450 watt amplifier with mic and line mixer and 31 band graphic EQ. This system powers horn speakers for broadcasting lo-fi over very large areas. Used at full potential this system can supply speech quality pa for up to several thousand of people in very large outdoor areas. The system will power 9 x 50 watt horns, 11 x 40 watt horns, 15 x 30 watt horns, 22 x 20 watt horns 44 x 10 watt horns.

For your DJ party! Any party for that matter. Stage effects for bands, theatre etc. A compact 1100 watt machine that uses water based fogging fluid with manual control. Comes supplied with a full tank of fog juice and extra juice if required.
Do away with a heap of PAR cans to light up the stage, the iCOLOR4 unit puts all the usual stage lighting functions into one box. The iCOLOR can produce 36 different colour mixes, dim, chase, blackout, audio chase. The DMX controller is simple and intuitive to use. Each unit contains four Fresnel grating glass windows with a 500 watt halogen lamp in each. Total power requirement per unit is 2400 watts (10 Amps). To run multiple units two 15 Amp 240V circuits are required or otherwise 3 phase power distribution should be used.
The Behringer (R) Ultra D.I. and ETEK (R) active D.I boxes. Dual channel single or single channel link operation. Run on battery or phantom power.
PEAVEY (R) DELTAFX EFX unit. A top end FX rack 32 digital EFX with full control on wet/dry mix, depth, time, level, etc. A very good general purpose FX unit for vocals aind instrumental effects.
SURE (R) SM58 XLR series Beta radio microphone. One of the best, great clarity, intelligent channel selection, (40ch), great feedback rejection. Full diversity. An outstanding radio microphone for performing or public speaking.
This was an interesting night. We did sound and lighting for a float at the Gay and Lesbian Madi-Gras. Tremendous fun was had by all. The only downside was that we had to walk the parade route twice, once to do reconiasance, and then agian during the parade. As well as keeping an eye on the systems the boss found himself handing out free condoms to the crowd. He didn’t get any himself, we don’t know what that means. We might add that the bare bottoms etc are not our crew, we only dress like that to go to the opera.
A really useful unit for control of low power (up to 2400 watts) lighting set-ups. The rack unit allows you to switch lights on and off by pushing a button on a rack mount control panel and to control chasing. Has audio chase, program chase, strobe out etc. Has utility control for smoke machine or other analog devices that have a remote control interface. It has a 15 m control lead to a 12 bank 3 pin power point rack.
We have AMERICAN AUDIO (R) 300 and 500 series dual cart CD players. The 300 series has jog and shuttle, speed control, looping and “Q Start”. The 500 series also includes seamless looping, memory cue, BPM counter.
We are fortunate to have obtained a supply of one of the heavy duty “Rolls Royces” of speaker systems. The ELECTROVOICE (R) SH/DH series combo towers. We have the SH18 ER, an 18″ reverse scoop horn loaded design sub-woofer that is fat fat fat. It can be hired as a stand alone unit, or a stand alone pair (if you want to drill through the floor). We also hire the complete combo tower which consists of the SH18ER for low range, the SH10ER for mids and a super high efficiency 2″ EV DH2 horn for the highs. This speaker assembly has two great things going for it. The sound quality speaks for itself, ELECTROVOICE is hardly known for second rate speakers! But…. the efficiency of the system is phenominal, averaging out at around 106dB/watt! Four towers being supplied with 3000 watts of input total will power up a 1000 person outdoor gig with ease! Obviously these speakers suit the pro market.
Wharfedale are known more for speakers, bt in recent years they have been producing a range of effects processors, mixers and amplifiers. This is a nice little product from Warfedale, a digital effects rack with 16 effects. We often use this little rack as an insert patch on a vocal or instrument and have very respectable results. A good one if your rack gear is short of an EFX unit.
Another of the great range of RODE microphones. The NT3 is very well suited for general recording purposes (we have had very good results on vocals with the NT3) and for “milking” sound from choirs, actors etc. It is also an EXCELLENT live vocal microphone! The NT3 has a nice feature, as well as operating on 48V phantom power it can be operated by a 9V battery which is installed in the microphone. This means the NT3 can be used in situations where no mains power is available. This is a great microphone for video cameras. Use it with a “dead cat” for superior outdoor audio tracks.
This is the “little” MACKIE power amp. Many applications such as powering small but relatively sophisticated pa systems where a mixer and effects/equalisation units are required. We often hire this amp to run bridged into a 4 Ohm sub-woofer. Like all MACKIE power amps, it comes with great on board features, adjustable high band pass filter from 20Hz to 150Hz cut off on each channel, “thru” jacks so it can be ganged with other amps, stero/mono/bridge operation.
A favourite in the portable pa system range. The MIPRO MA-707 is a 60 watt battery or mains powered pa system that has a multitude of uses, especially where no mains power is available. This system comes with a radio lapel microphone or a hand held radio microphone. You can also connect an additional cable microphone and CD/mp3/iPod etc for music anywhere. Built in cassette deck.
