The ULTRA DRIVE PRO is a 2 way or 3 way stereo 4 way mono active speaker management unit. Units of this type are much more than an active cross over, the ULTRA DRIVE PRO has many built in features for full speaker system management, limiting, phase correction, EQ adjustment, a selection of bandpass filter types, “active EQ”, delay etc.

This is a good unit! We have used it both for mastering FOH and for individual mic signal processing. All you would expect from DBX. Very low noise injection, very accurate noise gate and limiter. Lovely soft knee compression on vocals, crisp and effective hard knee on snares, kick drums etc.� Nice intuitive controls, can be stereo linked for mastering.

A very useful item indeed for live mixes. We think this is definitely one of Behringer’s best products. Compared to other feedback suppression devices we have tried, this one is the easiest to use in any of the auto modes. It can double as a manually programmed 24 band parametric equaliser with a one sixtieth of an octave resolution.

This is a truly pro class graphic EQ for front of house mastering or system input EQ’s in mics, instruments. Does not have a lot of fancy extras, just low cut, high cut, make up gain control, switchable range between + 6dB to – 6dB or + 12dB to – 12dB for those extra difficult situations, but it has a really nice feel in the faders and is very accurate.

WHARFEDALE (R) EZVERB DIGITAL EFFECTS RACK

Wharfedale are known more for speakers, bt in recent years they have been producing a range of effects processors, mixers and amplifiers. This is a nice little product from Warfedale, a digital effects rack with 16 effects. We often use this little rack as an insert patch on a vocal or instrument and have very respectable results. A good one if your rack gear is short of an EFX unit.

A very very versatile 24 bit digital effects engine with a hundred plus editable effects and which can also function as a deesser, parametric EQ among other useful tricks! We have had very good results with this unit in live band mix engineering, we’d rate it one of Behringer’s really useful and well performing products.
